Professor María Cadaval Sampedro has served as co-director of the Santiago de Compostela Urban Agenda 2030, within the framework of the collaboration established between the City Council and the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Together with Santiago Lago Peñas, she has taken on the executive leadership of the project, aimed at developing a key strategy for the city’s future development.
As part of this initiative, Cadaval has coordinated the initial stages of the project, including the creation of the Steering and Monitoring Groups (GIS), as well as gathering contributions from institutional, academic, and social stakeholders. This work has laid the foundation for drafting the strategic document that will guide urban policies in the coming years.
Through this role, María Cadaval strengthens her involvement in strategic planning projects linked to territorial development, contributing her expertise in public economics, multilevel governance, and public policy to the design of an agenda focused on building a more inclusive, sustainable city aligned with the challenges of the 2030 Agenda.
